One move

Standing Hip Adduction

Strength Balance Lower body

How to read ahead. Do to go one move at a time.

Stand tall and slowly draw one leg across the midline, squeezing the inner thigh. Simple, balance-friendly, and effective.

Option. Hold a chair or wall for light support. Progress by adding a light resistance band around the ankles.

Show the steps
  1. 1

Stand tall with feet hip-width, core engaged, light support nearby if needed.

  2. 2

Shift weight onto one leg and keep a soft knee.

  3. 3

Keeping the working leg mostly straight, slowly lift it across the midline toward the standing leg.

  4. 4

Squeeze the inner thigh at the peak, then lower with control.

  5. 5

Avoid leaning or swinging — move only from the hip.

  6. 6

Finish the set on one side, then switch.
