One move

Side Plank Hip Dip

Strength Stability Core

How to read ahead. Do to go one move at a time.

From a side plank, lower the hip toward the floor and lift it back up. Adds dynamic work to the classic side plank.

Option. Drop to the bottom knee for an easier version. Keep the range small at first.

Show the steps
  1. 1

Set up in a forearm side plank, body in a straight line, hips stacked.

  2. 2

Slowly lower the bottom hip toward the floor a few inches.

  3. 3

Drive the hip back up to the starting plank position, squeezing the side of the waist.

  4. 4

Keep the neck neutral and the top shoulder relaxed.

  5. 5

Move with control — this is not a bounce.

  6. 6

Finish the set, then switch sides.
