One move

Heel Touches

Strength Core

How to read ahead. Do to go one move at a time.

Lie on your back and alternately reach toward each heel. Simple, controlled oblique work that stays gentle on the neck.

Option. Reach farther or slow the tempo. Keep the range small if the low back complains.

Show the steps
  1. 1

Lie on your back with knees bent, feet flat, arms by your sides.

  2. 2

Lift the shoulders slightly off the floor so the upper abs engage.

  3. 3

Reach one hand toward the same-side heel, feeling the side of the waist work.

  4. 4

Return to center and reach to the other heel.

  5. 5

Keep the movement small and controlled — no yanking.

  6. 6

    Breathe steadily throughout.

Heel Touches

  • Gentle introduction to oblique work that still creates a solid burn
  • Teaches controlled lateral flexion without stress on the neck
  • Perfect for short core finishers
